The Fisher House is a foundation that helps military families out with family members in a military hospital.
They paid for our tickets to and from San Diego and back and put us up for the entire stay. Not one penny except for food and the 160 I had to pay for parking at Dallas.
I called American Airlines today and they gave me a military discount for Kevin's trip home. Regularily 1173 + down to 329.
Good Deal.
After Kevin's surgery we hung around the room for a few days, went to the park, museum, (see previous post) Kevin, Carrie and Unity took the Town Trolley to Coronado to the Beach.. Kevin sat in the sand while Carrie and Unity played in the Pacific Ocean.
So we got to the Airport very early and waited for the plane. I took my dramimine soon enough and was not bothered by airsickness too much. I ate crackers and drank water. The flight was really nice. A little more turbulence than going but otherwise ok.
We had to sit on the runway for about 30 min because the gates were backed up.
Finally got off the plane and I went to get the car while Carrie got the bags.
We went out the Wrong side of the airport again so naturally I got lost again. Stopped at a Sonic in North Richland Hills and got a coney and directions.
By the time I go home I couldn't even think, I was so exhausted. We brought in our clothes and I fell in bed.
Carrie and Unity left two days later. They drove home in their new car (Kevin's Escort) and had a nice trip home.
Kevin is coming home the 25th and leaving Aug 14 to San Diego..He has an appointment that day with the docs in SD.
But I'll have him for a few weeks anyway. :)

You'll "have him for a few weeks"! Young lady, I am appalled by your brazen and lustful declaration! Poor Kevin will be exhausted when he gets back to San Diego. You're a wicked woman!
